New Walmart Policy Lets Employees Host Family Thanksgiving on 10-Minute Break
A heartwarming, new policy shows corporations do care about us!
Working the Black Friday shift can be a drag and often asks the employee to sacrifice family time - sometimes even on the evening of Thanksgiving.
At least that’s what working on Black Friday used to mean.
Walmart is revolutionizing the Black Friday shift by implementing a new, heartwarming policy: Walmart employees may now use the breakroom to host their family for a Thanksgiving dinner during their 10-minute break.
Walmart issued the following statement on the new policy:
We’re proud to introduce a new policy to our Walmart family. Beginning this Black Friday, Walmart employees working a Black Friday shift will be permitted to use one (1) of their 10-minute breaks to utilize the breakroom to host their family for Thanksgiving.
Family members must be related and show proof of identification.
Although we will not be contributing financially to any employee’s Thanksgiving dinner, we will be contributing our warmest thoughts.
Happy Thanksgiving & Black Friday to Our Walmart Family!
Just when we were starting to come down on corporate greed, the good executives of Walmart remind us why corporations are so special.
