Laura Ingraham Defends Politics In Sports: "They're Dancing Because They're Excited About The Economy"
Fox News host changes her mind now that it benefits her.
Laura Ingraham, host of Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle, revealed she’s changed her mind about politics in sports. Walking back a 2018 quote where she told LeBron James to "shut up and dribble," Ingraham now explains:
"If you have a platform, you should use it.
These NFL players aren’t doing or saying anything to tear this country apart; they’re simply dancing like Trump because they’re excited about the return of a good economy.
Nothing malicious. Just excited about the economy."
Over the last couple weeks, some athletes have started dancing like Trump as a celebratory dance. Some of these athletes include San Francisco 49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa, Las Vegas Raiders rookie Brock Bowers, and Tennessee Titans receiver Calvin Ridley.
Since the election, there’s certainly a sense that these athletes and supporters are emboldened in their views and are giddy to express them.
When asked for comment to elaborate on those views, Nick Bosa, Brock Bowers, and Calvin Ridley all declined to comment.
Viewers are curious as to why players gloat and celebrate with the Trump dance, but when given the opportunity, don’t use their words to tell us what it means.
Laura Ingraham fills in the gaps for us, saying:
"Many athletes probably don’t want to speak to the mainstream media because they’ll get crucified for saying they want a Christian state. Simple.
They’d get obliterated for saying they want Donald Trump and Elon Musk as their kings on day. Simple as that.
Would you share your awful views with the world if it meant immediately getting follow-up questions? So now they dance instead. Rather than saying the quiet part out loud, it’s saying the loud part quietly by dancing.“
The Ingraham Angle airs weekdays at 10 PM EST, followed by a commercial so devious and effective, your grandma is now locked into a $34.99/month charge.
