James Gunn Unveils DC's Brilliant Plan: Kickoff DCU With an Iron Man Film

Director and newly appointed CEO of DC Studios, James Gunn, recently announced his strategy to revamp the on-screen DC Universe, and his plan includes one very familiar face. That's right - Robert Downey Jr. is set to star in a new Iron Man film which will kickoff the new and improved DC Universe.

DC Studios released the following synopsis for the upcoming film:

When Tony Stark wakes up one morning, he realizes that everything in his past that's Marvel-affiliated was a dream. Tony is relieved and so happy that he puts on a new Iron Man suit with all new colors and zooms around his city... Metropolis! But Metropolis isn't just Tony's city...
