Co-Worker Selects the White Thumbs Up
She's 63 so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt- oh, scratch that, she has tickets to Jason Aldean.
At exactly 10:19 AM this morning, Edith from Finance reacted to a work message with a white thumbs up emoji.
When asked for comment, sender of the message, PJ Morris, gave the following statement: "The white thumbs up made my stomach drop because I was then confronted by the question of why Edith would choose the white thumbs up. Edith doesn't know how to change any of the settings on her laptop or work apps, but she can change the thumbs up to a white thumbs up? This was definitely an intentional move."
A nearby co-worker, Mariah Velez, provided her thoughts as well:
"All you had to do was keep that yellow thumbs up, Edith. Now I'm looking at things a little different. Last weekend when you said you were going to a concert, I envisioned you going to see an old jazz artist - now, I’m envisioning Morgan Wallen. When you said you were going to your grandkids game, I thought of you watching a soccer game in a nice sweater - now it's a baseball game and you're wearing a T-shirt with a rhinestone American flag on it. That's just what happens when you choose the white thumbs up."
When asked for comment, Edith simply responded with an emoji: a white thumbs up.
