Child Gets Naming Rights To Dog; Wastes It On "Moose"

We've got a real creative on our hands.

Stop the press!! The brown dog's name is Moose!!

When a local child was gifted a chocolate lab for her 6th birthday, she was also gifted the right to name the dog. Well, color me shocked but the dog's name is now Moose.

When the name was announced at the birthday party, the guests let out a chorus of groans. They were not asked for opinions, but that didn't stop them from yelling the following:

"Don't we have enough Moose's already?" - Ryan C. (45)

"Let me guess - if it were a black lab you would've called it 'Blackie'? Get the Harvard application ready! - Maya P. (34)

"Looks like a sturdy dog - you could've named him Tank. He's been sniffing the rocks - you could've called him Rocky." - Breileigh L. (4)

After a severe backlash, the child began crying, indicating remorse. One optimistic guest asked, "So you'll change the name?" The child did not change the name; just cried for the hell of it. Another Moose it is.
