Aaron Rodgers Puts Oz The Mentalist On Head Coach Wishlist
"Simply put, he can see things others cannot."
In a recent press conference, New York Jets Quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, shared his top pick for the Jets head coaching job is popular mind reader, Oz the Mentalist.
Oz the Mentalist is known around the league for entertaining professional and collegiate sports teams with his mind reading tricks, and even displayed his talents for Aaron Rodgers and the Jets in training camp ahead of last season (as seen on HBO’s Hard Knocks).
In the clip above, Oz the Mentalist guessed Rodgers’ card and even made a goldfish appear in his hands. While everyone in that room witnessed an amazing trick, for Rodgers it was something more - an audition.
"I don’t think there’s a more enlightened mind around than Oz. If he can guess my card - number and suit - I bet he could guess what play an offense will run two plays before it even happens. He’s that good."
When asked for other possible candidates on his list, Rodgers continued:
"I’ll say Pat McAfee. He’s maybe an unorthodox pick, but always unapologetically himself.
The shaman who guided me through my ayahuasca journey at the Temple of the Way of Light.
And then, if he were to become available, Andy Reid."
While none of Rodgers’ picks are realistic, they certainly provide insight into the traits Rodgers values in a coach - allowing him to "just ask questions."
